1) Get an estate plan in place!
Protect yourself and your family with an estate plan. If you already have a plan, make sure to review its accuracy. Have there been any major life changes - a move in location, death in the family, more children or grandchildren, an unexpected illness? Or maybe you are now interested in trust documents. If any of these are the case, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss what’s best for you.
2) Check in with your aging relatives.
Make sure these family members are continuing to receive appropriate care for themselves and are not quietly going without. Perhaps it’s time to hire a part-time caregiver or house-cleaner to help with chores. We can all relate to needing help throughout various stages of life, and it is always nice for friends and family to proactively check in.
3) Enjoy each day as it comes.
Our calendars can seem a bit overwhelming with work, family, and personal activities. It is important to stop, breath, and be thankful for the day and moment in which we are currently living. As an estate planner, I enjoy helping plan for my clients’ futures so that the day-to-day enjoyment can be a reality! That’s it! Three easy resolutions for this wonderful new year.
Let’s update your estate plan and take care of the first resolution of 2019 together. Call me at 205-789-9894 and schedule a free consultation.
